11th Annual Diana Gregory Outreach Services Senior Awards
“Recognizing outstanding seniors who have made a difference.”
September 3, 2024, Breaking News On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Diana Gregory Outreach Services will host the 11th annual Senior Awards luncheon where exceptional seniors will be recognized. We are thrilled to announce that former Ambassador Andrew Young will receive the Dick Gregory Humanitarian Award. Major Fran McClendon and Elizabeth White will receive the centenarian awards. Additional honorees are Dr. Josephine Pete, Community Service Award, and Jones Benally, Treasure of Arizona Award. Community Anchor for Arizona’s Family, Susan Casper, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for the luncheon. A special added attraction to this year’s luncheon will be a “Fireside Chat” with Arizona State alum and Tony Award winner Colleen Jennings Roggensack and former U.S. Ambassador Young.
All luncheon proceeds provide critical funding to purchase and distribute produce for a cherished and often forgotten part of our population–those seniors and veterans throughout the region who live in food deserts and face economic challenges.
Along with its award recipients, this luncheon also recognizes sponsors and partners who have worked with us through the years on our programs, collaborations, and farms. The luncheon will be held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort on September 19th. Registration is at 10:30 am. The luncheon and program start at 11:30 am. The address is Arizona Biltmore, 2400 E. Missouri Ave., Phoenix, AZ., 85016. Join us as we celebrate 15 years and present awards to deserving and distinguished seniors.
